Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Server Support Engineer to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot our internal and client server environments. You will play a key role in ensuring high system uptime, quick issue resolution, and stable infrastructure support across Linux and Windows servers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor server health, performance, and uptime across physical and cloud infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues (hardware, software, OS, network, etc.)
  • Perform routine maintenance, updates, patching, and backups
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
  • Maintain server security with antivirus, firewall, and vulnerability scans
  • Provide support for Windows and Linux-based servers and services
  • Work closely with the DevOps and network teams to ensure smooth IT operations
  • Document system changes, incidents, and resolutions

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in server support or system administration
  • Good knowledge of Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL)
  • Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with tools like Remote Desktop, SSH, SCP, and monitoring software
  • Understanding of DNS, DHCP, FTP, SMTP, and firewall configurations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Certifications like MCSA, RHCSA, or AWS SysOps Admin are a plus
  • Exposure to ticketing tools like Jira, Freshdesk, or ServiceNow
