Role Overview

We’re seeking a Junior Developer with hands-on experience in WordPress plugin/theme development, or basic experience in custom scripting (PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS). You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to build, customize, and maintain websites and applications. This role offers mentorship and growth opportunities in a cutting-edge, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in development and customization of WordPress themes and plugins
• Implement frontend designs using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript for responsive pages
• Support backend work: PHP scripting, WordPress hooks/filters, REST API integration
• Optimize performance and security, including plugin/theme updates and basic debugging
• Work with databases (MySQL), handle data storage and basic SQL queries
• Use Git for version control and collaborate in code review processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 0.5 to 1.5 years experience in WordPress development or web development using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Familiarity with WordPress architecture: themes, plugins, custom post types, hooks, filters
• Experience with page builders like Elementor, Gutenberg or similar
• Basic knowledge of MySQL and database design
• Working knowledge of version control (Git)
• Good problem-solving ability and eagerness to learn emerging technologies

Nice to Have

• Experience with Elementor, WPBakery, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
• Understanding of performance optimization (caching, minification)
• Familiarity with REST APIs, AJAX, or headless WordPress approaches
• Basic knowledge of SEO best practices and responsive design
